Auburn Tigers head coach Hugh Freeze went all in on the transfer portal this offseason in the hopes of securing a winning season in 2025.
Auburn brought in Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Jackson Arnold, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets receiver Eric Singleton Jr. and Virginia Tech Hokies offensive tackle Xavier Chaplin as some of its top acquisitions.
The Tigers' 2025 class is highlighted by five-star quarterback Deuce Knight, four-star defensive lineman Malik Autry and four-star edge rusher Jared Smith.
On Monday, the USA TODAY Preseason Coaches Poll was released, and Auburn was left off despite the SEC having the most teams at nine.
Fans took to social media to weigh in on the matter.
"Auburn should be ranked if we beat Baylor," One Tigers fan commented.
"Auburn's a big sleeper!" another said. "I think they'll win 8-9 games this yr."

Arnold comes to Auburn after struggling with the Oklahoma Sooners. He was the starter for the first four games last season, before being benched during the Tennessee Volunteers game after two fumbles and one interception.
The quarterback appeared on a pressure list for quarterbacks for 2025, coming in at No. 9. He finished last season with 12 touchdowns, three interceptions and nine fumbles.
The Tigers received some recruiting news recently, with the prediction that Isaiah Broughton, the brother of former Texas Longhorns defensive lineman Vernon Broughton, would flip to Auburn despite being committed to UNLV.
Auburn's quest to prove it belongs in the polls begins on August 29 against the Baylor Bears.
