On Tuesday, Denzel Washington appeared on ESPN's "First Take" alongside Spike Lee to promote their new movie "Highest 2 Lowest." While the focus was on the film, Washington couldn't resist taking a jab at Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.

Washington is clearly frustrated with the team's ongoing struggles.

"There's box office and there's Oscars," Washington said. "Jerry, been a while, huh? You ain't been to the show, you wouldn't know. Haven't been to the show, so you wouldn't know what it is to win."

Washington, who said he loves the Cowboys, followed up with a pointed message: "All money ain't good money, Jerry. All money ain't good money."

During the exchange, "First Take" host Stephen A. Smith, a frequent critic of the Cowboys, joked about Washington not bringing up the team in the film. Smith has been outspoken about Dallas' struggles in recent seasons, especially their failure to return to the Super Bowl.

Before Washington and Lee appeared on the show, Smith took the opportunity to critique the Cowboys' financial maneuvers, focusing on quarterback Dak Prescott's contract.

Smith highlighted Prescott's multiple contract restructurings in recent years, which created $82 million in salary cap space, but questioned the practical value of those moves given Prescott's limited playoff success.
