The Senegalese midfielder signs with the Spanish club until 2027

Sporting Gijón has secured its eighth signing for the 2025/26 season. The Spanish club has reached an agreement with FC Arouca for the transfer of Mamadou Loum Ndiaye. The midfielder put pen to paper on a contract running until 2027 this Tuesday, August 12, 2025.
Trained in Senegal, Mamadou Loum Ndiaye has spent most of his career in Portugal, featuring for SC Braga B, Moreirense FC and FC Porto. In the 2021/22 season, the 28-year-old made his La Liga debut with Deportivo Alavés. He then continued his journey in the Championship with Reading FC before making a move to Saudi Arabia with Al-Raed SFC.
Returning to Portugal in 2023, he donned the FC Arouca jersey before answering the call from Sporting Gijón. After successfully passing his medical, he has already joined the first-team squad.
