Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique said it was "a miracle" that his team managed to win the UEFA Supercup against Europa League champions Tottenham on Wednesday evening.

"I don't think we deserved to win, because the difference between a team like Tottenham, who have had a lot of training, and us, who have only had five training sessions," he said.

"It's so different, I think it's a miracle. I'm happy because today, as usual, we saw our fans supporting the team throughout the match."

The Champions League winners also had to overcome a 2-0 deficit with they did thanks to Kang-in Lee's goal in the 85th and Gonçalo Ramos' effort in stoppage time. The win and the title were sealed with a 4-3 win on penalties.

"In the end, even though I don't think we deserved it, I have to say I'm happy for all the players and especially for the fans. It's important to win this trophy, even though we would have preferred to rest and think about next season," Enrique admitted.

Player of the match Ousmane Dembele said that, despite the deficit and the little time available "we tried to stay in the game, thinking that with one goal, anything could happen."

Dembele also praised the support of the fans who travelled to Udine in Italy to attend the match.

"The fans were exceptional, from start to finish. We could lose two or three nil, they'll still be there pushing us on. It feels good, as we say, they're the twelfth man and they push us all the time, it's huge."
