“It was awesome,” Swinney said. “He had a good day.”

— Dabo on Walker Parks:

“He’ll be aight. He’ll be good to go.”

Said they held Parks today.

Khalil Barnes and Jeadyn Lukus are still limited. Swinney said Lukus should be back Sunday or Monday.

He said Barnes is “getting closer.”

Noah Dixon has been out about a week, Swinney said. They hope to get him back soon.

— He said Branden Strozier has made a “huge jump” in camp.

“I mean a huge jump.”

Said last year Strozier was “hanging off the cliff and we threw him a lifeline.”

“Now he’s back on land and halfway back to town.”

Said Corian Gipson has also made a big leap. They feel good about the depth there, and two others who can play corner are Shelton Lewis and Tink Kelley.

— More rave reviews for Jaheim Lawson.

Swinney said he’s “a 1.”

“He’s really right there with TJ Parker and Will Heldt.”

He said Cade Denhoff isn’t far off. He said Clemson can win with those four at end.

He said Lawson has had an awesome camp.

— Swinney remains bullish on the safeties.

“I like it when we got dudes.”

He likened it to when the defensive ends had Vic Beasley and Shaq Lawson.

Ronan Hanafin has really taken a jump and looks different.

“He looks the part. He’s in the mix.”

“We have a deep group of guys who can play.”

— On the punting situation: He thinks they have three guys who can go do it.

But he has to “pray about it and put three names in a hat and ask God for help pulling the name out.”

Said this will probably go another week and maybe even into the opener.

“That’s how close it is.”

And this:

“They all can launch it 60, and they all can shank it 20.”

— I asked him if they’ve settled on a big nickel to adjust when offenses go with big personnel. He thinks Wade Woodaz, Jeremiah Alexander and Jamal Anderson can play that role. Very happy with the linebacker depth right now.

Cade Klubnik went 5-for-10 and threw four touchdown passes, Swinney said. Christopher Vizzina made some really big throws but missed a layup on a dump-off to a running back.

Vizzina ran with the ones and has made a huge jump during camp, Swinney said.

Nolan Hauser was great today after he was not so great Saturday.

That’s it for now. Plenty more coming later this afternoon. Hope everyone out there is well!
