Sam Darnold could replicate his performance from last season, but this time with the Seattle Seahawks. Moreover, the former Minnesota Vikings quarterback believes one unit in the offense could be the key that allows him to find success in the Pacific Northwest.
Darnold appeared on "The Richard Sherman Podcast" and revealed that he's excited about the Seahawks' offense, but then he spotlighted the offensive line, which is an important unit as they'll give Darnold time to throw the football.
"I'm very excited about the skill guys that we have—receivers, tight ends, running backs," Darnold told Richard Sherman. "Got a couple of fullbacks as well that have been playing really well. Our offensive line: I feel like the way that our offensive line has been able to play, obviously in OTAs, but now in training camp, the way that they've put together a solid three weeks in a row of communicating on certain run games and pass protection."

Furthermore, Darnold went into detail regarding Seattle's offensive line and what they do that has the veteran quarterback excited about the season for Seattle.
"I can hear them making calls, it's awesome when you hear one guy make a call and everyone goes quiet," Darnold added. "No one's talking after that. The center makes his call and everyone's like, 'All right, we're on the same page.' It's very comforting as a quarterback when you see all those things going on."
Last season, Darnold completed 66.2 percent of his passes for 4,319 passing yards, 35 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions in 17 games for the Vikings. This production led the Seahawks to give Darnold a three-year, $100.5 million deal, with $55 million reportedly guaranteed after Seattle traded Geno Smith to the Las Vegas Raiders.
If the Seahawks can protect Darnold and him already being comfortable in the offense, then Seattle should expect the same production that the USC product gave Minnesota in 2024.
