Take a look at this week's Chiefs Stock Watch to see which players were risers & fallers in preseason Week 2 vs. the Seahawks | @EdEastonJr
The Kansas City Chiefs' second preseason game is over, as without most of their starters, they were no match for the Seattle Seahawks. The results may not matter in these exhibition games, but several performances were worth watching.
Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce warmed up before the game but were spectators throughout, watching from the sidelines. Gardner Minshew made some plays in his brief stint as the starter, with a touchdown pass to veteran tight end Robert Tonyan. Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy, and the normal starting offensive saw some early action.
Sam Darbold and the other quarterbacks who played for Seattle attacked the defense early and often. As questions about the group's depth continue, Steve Spagnuolo's unit could not secure a sack or interception in defeat.
Check out how some of Kansas City's stars fared in the Chiefs' loss to the Seahawks:
Stock Up: Robert Tonyan
The veteran tight end impressed for the second consecutive week as he hauled in Kansas City's lone touchdown on the night. He finished with five catches for 41 yards and a touchdown.
Stock Up: Gardner Minshew
There shouldn't be a question whether Minshew is the primary backup after he showed his high value again on Friday night. He ended his stint with seven completions on nine attempts for a touchdown.
Stock Up: Skyy Moore
Although he's faced plenty of criticism recently, Moore came through with an impressive late-game 88-yard punt return for a touchdown. Special teams will be a key determining factor for the veteran wide receiver.
Stock Down: Kingsley Suamataia
Suamataia played briefly, and although he has shown flashes of brilliance in the run game, he's sometimes struggled in pass protection—only a small sample size, but enough to have some concern going into the preseason finale.
