Serie A side Juventus have been looking to sell Douglas Luiz this summer and now, Nottingham Forest are close to signing him.
La Gazzetta dello Sportreport that the Tricky Trees are closing in on the move and key progress has now been made for a transfer.
On Friday, the Nottingham Forest management convinced the 27-year-old to return to the Premier League after just one year in Italy. It wasn’t a big deal given the former Aston Villa player’s desire for a change of scenery, but after intense preliminary discussions, the two parties have reached a financial agreement for the contract to be signed.
Yesterday, after receiving Luiz’s approval, Nottingham Forest then began serious discussions with Juventus, who were eagerly awaiting a serious contender for one of their most significant surplus players.
Now, the Bianconeri and the English club only need to reach an agreement for a permanent transfer. This will unlock Juve’s move for Randal Kolo-Muani, with Everton and West Ham still hoping to make a final push to sign the Brazilian this summer.
