One of the top returning quarterbacks in college football, LaNorris Sellers also capitalized on the NIL front ahead of the season opener. He was part of Beats by Dre’s third “Beats Elite” class as part of an NIL deal.

Through the partnership, Sellers filmed an ad with Beats, and he said it came together after a practice this summer. It was also at the same time as the Manning Passing Academy – making for a busy day.

Sellers took reporters behind the scenes of the deal and what it was like filming the ad. While he noted he’s not necessarily an actor, Sellers said it came together quickly as part of the high-profile partnership.

“It was one day after practice or something, they asked me if I wanted to do it,” Sellers said. “We got it in the works. I shot it after practice, and then I had the Manning Passing Academy the next day. … It took all day. At first, I’m not really the acting type, but they had me doing all the stuff. But I was just like, alright, let’s do it.”

The deal with Beats is the latest addition to Sellers’ NIL portfolio. He also has a $3.7 million On3 NIL Valuation, which puts him at No. 7 in the On3 NIL 100, the first of its kind and defacto NIL ranking of the top 100 high school and college athletes ranked by their On3 NIL Valuation. He also landed agreements with Collegiate Legends – receiving his own custom action figure – and Raising Canes this offseason.
