Yankees news: Jazz Chisholm Jr. flourishes in New York

Chisholm feels at home as a Yankee; Stanton notches 450th career home run; Judge closing in on weird bit of history.

NJ.com | Randy Miller: Jazz Chisholm Jr. has been very good on the field since joining the Yankees in a 2024 trade, as he joined the 30/30 club on Friday night. On a personal level, Chisholm has said that he’s often felt out of place in his life, either at a boarding school he attended growing up or with his former Marlins’ team, but he feels right at home as a member of the Yankees.

The Athletic | Brendan Kuty: In helping the Yankees to a win on Saturday night, Giancarlo Stanton went deep for the Bombers. The homer was a notable one in the form of it being a round number, as it was the 450th of his career. Getting No. 450 not only inches him closer to the more notable 500 mark, but it also took him into 41st place on the all-time list all on his own. Next up for Stanton is Carl Yastrzemski at 452.

New York Daily News | Gary Phillips: A batting title is always a nice thing to put on a baseball player’s résumé, and Aaron Judge is closing in on doing so. Should he finish off the feat, Judge would also make history as the tallest ever player to win a batting title. There aren’t many position players of his size period, but the ones that are tend to not be the types to put up high batting averages. Not that we need it, but there’s further evidence that Aaron Judge is good.
