Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has reiterated his stance on the squad at his disposal ahead of the transfer window deadline.

PSL clubs will have until Monday, 22 September, to conclude their transfer business with the window set to slam shut at midnight.

The Soweto giants have already beefed up their squad with the likes of Oswin Appollis, Tshepang Moremi, Sipho Mbule and Sihle Nduli, among others.

When quizzed on whether more signings can be expected before the deadline, Ouaddou reiterated that he is happy with the current crop of players he has.

“I’m happy with the group that I have to be honest. I am working well, we have fantastic mentality, very good human beings. The dressing room is one of the best dressing rooms I have ever had since I became a coach, very educated players, they give everything, and I think very good mentality,” he said.

However, the Bucs mentor didn’t completely shut the door on last-ditch arrivals, highlighting that it’s up to the club’s hierarchy to decide whether the team needs further bolstering.

“But it’s up to my bosses if they believe we need some more strength, they decided – they are the bosses. I am here to train the guys, to get results, and I train the players that I have. But for the moment I am happy with the players that I have,” added Ouaddou.

Fresh from claiming a 3-0 victory over Lesotho champions Lioli FC in the CAF Champions League first preliminary round, Pirates will return to league action with a clash against Siwelele FC at Toyota Stadium on Tuesday.
