Let’s see who’s sitting this one out
We’re about ninety minutes away from kickoff at U.S. Bank Stadium, and both the Minnesota Vikings and Cincinnati Bengals have released their inactive lists for today’s contest. Let’s take a look at who will be sitting this one out for both sides.
Cincinnati Bengals
- WR Jermaine Burton
- TE Tanner Hudson
- DT McKinley Jackson
- DE Shemar Stewart
- CB Cam Taylor-Britt
Obviously, the Bengals are without star quarterback Joe Burrow for this one, with Jake Browning getting the start in his place. Stewart and Taylor-Britt were expected to be out based on the Bengals’ final injury report. No other real surprises on the list for the Bengals as far as I can see.
Minnesota Vikings
- WR Tim Jones
- C Ryan Kelly
- QB J.J. McCarthy
- QB Desmond Ridder (emergency QB)
- OT Justin Skule
- TE Nick Vannett
- DL Elijah Williams
The Vikings, as we know, are also without their starter at quarterback, as Carson Wentz will step in today for the injured J.J. McCarthy. The purple should get a bit of a boost from the returns of offensive tackle Christian Darrisaw and safety Harrison Smith, who are both up today after missing the first two games. Andrew Van Ginkel is also back after missing the Atlanta game due to a concussion.
Those are the inactive lists for today’s game, folks. We’ll have our first Open Thread of the day dropping approximately thirty minutes before kickoff at 11:30 AM Central time, and we hope you’ll join us for this critical game for our favorite team.
