Up and down and up and down the Giants go.
Giants' Russell Wilson makes roller coaster stats NFL history that no QB has ever done before originally appeared on The Sporting News
Russell Wilson has brought the New York Giants on a roller coaster ride to open the season.
In Week 1, Wilson struggled to the tune of a 45.9% completion rate with 168 passing yards.
In Week 2, Wilson went off with 450 passing yards (73.2% completion) with three touchdowns.
But then on Sunday night, Wilson was just 18-for-32 (56.3%) for 160 yards and two interceptions.
He's the first quarterback in NFL history to go sub-200 with no touchdowns in two games, with a game in the middle of 450-plus, per OptaStats.

The Sunday night experience won't quiet the calls for rookie Jaxson Dart, whose only action thus far has come in a specialty package that has only resulted in run plays up to this point.
Wilson will likely continue to get chances with the Giants, who very clearly don't want to rush Dart. The No. 25 overall pick out of Ole Miss is clearly the future, though, so that has to be factored in, too.
If Russ has a lot more of the games with no touchdowns and minimal passing yardage, it doesn't seem like he can stay at the helm for too much longer. This already might be a lost season for the Giants, but they've got to figure out how to make the most of their future.

And even though Wilson has had a great career, it's not him or Jameis Winston that will eventually help New York become a winning team again.
Brian Daboll might be looking at a decision soon. How much longer do the Giants want to ride the roller coaster that Russ is taking them on?
