Scorer of a decisive double just after coming on as a substitute to lead AS Monaco to victory against Les Grenats (5-2), the Spanish winger was named man of the match by the fans on the AS Monaco App.
He made an immediate impact on making his first steps at the Stade Louis-II. A substitute at kick-off of the 5th round of Ligue 1 McDonald’s’s against FC Metz, Ansu Fati did not take long to make his mark in the French top flight. Just three days after his big debut with the Rouge et Blancagainst Bruges, where he scored a goal in the last moments to save face, the striker from La Masia did it again.

We have high expectations for him, he did a fantastic job scoring three goals this week. He helped us turn the tide of the game today. I was obviously very happy for him.
Barely on the pitch and already decisive! 🌪️
While AS Monaco struggled in a first half dominated by Les Grenats which ended in a draw (1-1), Monaco’s new number 31 entered the game after the locker room. It was a winning coaching move, as right after the second half kicked off, the player on loan from FC Barcelona delivered his teammates with his first touch, after just… 37 seconds on the pitch (2-1, 46′)!

A comeback on the cards 🙃
It was a real attacking goal on a four-star pass by Lamine Camara, who made his third assist of the season. We then thought that things were going well, until FCM’s equalizing penalty (2-2, 67′). But that was without counting on the self-sacrifice of the new Monegasque, who would wait until the last quarter of an hour, to (once again) thrill his new fans.
Not satisfied? Double up! ✌️
On a fine pass from Krépin Diatta this time, who had come on to compensate for the injury to Aladji Bamba, Ansu Fati put an unstoppable header past a powerless Metz goalkeeper at the far post (3-2, 83′)! Barely 40 minutes into his Ligue 1 career, the Spanish international (10 caps, 2 goals) scored a liberating double, which guided the Rouge et Blanc to a comfortable victory (5-2), but which took a while to sink in.
L’intégration parfaite d’Ansu Fati ! 🤯

A second MVP from the bench 🏆
But beyond his direct impact on the result, the winger made a huge impact in a match that was crucial to win, with two successful tackles, four duels won out of five, three key passes before a shot, and five touches in the box. His more than decisive start, has thus been rewarded by a second consecutive MVP title awarded by the fans on the AS Monaco App, with… 92% of the votes. Felicitats Ansu ! 👏
