The Washington Commanders appear to have been bitten by the injury bug early this season, with Jayden Daniels dealing with a knee sprain, and now star receiver Terry McLaurin is dealing with an issue.

Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, McLaurin is dealing with a quad injury as Kliff Kingsbury's offense continues to be hit with injuries. But while Daniels might make a return in Week 4 against the Atlanta Falcons, it isn't known if McLaurin will suit up, and Rapoport's latest injury update will worry Washington fans.

“He’s dealing with a quad injury, getting additional opinions, trying to figure out what is going on,” Rapoport said. “While this I would say be more considered day-to-day, certainly seems like missing Sunday’s game is at least a possibility.”

Will McLaurin play vs. the Falcons?

Quad injuries aren't generally ones that you can play through, and the fact that McLaurin, per Rapoport, is getting different opinions on his injury tells us that there could be some worry for No. 17.

With Daniels' status uncertain for Week 4 and Austin Ekeler lost for the year, these injuries are starting to pile up for Washington at positions it can ill afford to see a drop in production.

Head coach Dan Quinn will likely provide us with all the details later in the week, but the fact that Terry is missing on Sunday isn't off the table, which might mean the franchise will take a similar approach to what it did with Daniels and err on the side of caution.

If, and that's a big if, the Commanders are without both Daniels and McLaurin on Sunday, that's not a great spot to be.
