Mo Bamba finds his way on the Utah Jazz
According to Michael Scotto, the Utah Jazz and Mo Bamba have agreed to a deal.
This doesn’t come as much of a surprise considering Bamba was with the Utah Jazz recently on social media.
It’s not clear on the details, but this does make sense for Utah in terms of depth. Most likely, Bamba slides in as the third center but can also provide depth if Jusuf Nurkic or Walker Kessler goes down with an injury. That said, it cold become a little bit of an interesting storyline to watch to see if Bamba can work his way to backup center over Nurkic.
Like Scotto says, Bamba averaged 6.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks in seven NBA seasons. We’ll see if this amounts to more than just an easy 1-year signing that gives Bamba one last chance to find a place in the NBA. He’s already had a lot of chances in the league, maybe sixth time is the charm?
