“Buffalo Joe” Andreessen takes advantage of his limited playing time vs. the Saints

Joe Andreessen made his only play in the first half against the Saints count

“Buffalo” Joe Andreessen, who signed a three-year contract with the Buffalo Bills last spring, is absolutely living his dream. After playing linebacker at the University at Buffalo and starting all 12 games for the Bulls in 2023, the Buffalo-Niagara Falls metropolitan native was signed by his hometown Bills after a successful camp tryout in 2024.

Although he’s not a starter, he has certainly taken every opportunity to make his presence known when he’s on the field. During the first half of the game against the New Orleans Saints, linebacker Terrel Bernard appeared to have gotten stepped on by veteran Jordan Phillips, causing Bernard’s shoe to come off.

Luckily, Bernard wasn’t seriously injured and was able to return to the field just one play later. However, during that single play, Joe Andreessen came in for Bernard and ended up being the player that made the tackle. In fact, the aforementioned tackle also prevented the Saints from moving the chains for a first down.

Andreessen has been a great story since the beginning of his time with Buffalo and will hopefully continue to take advantage of any playing time he gets.
