Oh no. Neither star got good news.
Malik Nabers, Joe Alt both get bad injury announcements for Giants, Chargers originally appeared on The Sporting News
The news isn't good for two of the NFL's best players.
Malik Nabers and Joe Alt both departed in the first half of Sunday's matchup between the New York Giants and Los Angeles Chargers.
By early in the second half, both players had been ruled out for the remainder of the game.
And the news was worse than that.
NFL Network reported that Nabers is feared to have torn his right ACL. The star wide receiver was attempting a leaping catch on a deep ball down the right sideline from Jaxson Dart, and his plant and landing all looked awkward.
Alt's news isn't quite as bad, but it's not good.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that it's a high-ankle sprain for Alt.
Alt, the Chargers' left tackle, is one of the best offensive linemen in football.
It was quite the bummer to have two absolute stars both leave the same game Sunday with injury.
It was a reminder of how quickly things can change in the NFL.
The Giants were excited to pair Nabers with new starting QB, rookie Jaxson Dart.
And the Chargers are off to a fantastic 3-0 start, but losing Alt can only hurt things.
Both fanbases will be bummed out by this news.
