It was a weekend of few surprises across the Georgia high school football landscape.

Each of the state’s top five teams remain in the same place as they were last week, with Grayson, Thomas County Central and Creekside all handling their business to move to 6-0. There was some shakeup elsewhere, though, despite all of the state’s top 25 teams remaining in the rankings for a second consecutive week.

With a handful of big games on tap across the state this week, here’s a look at the latest Georgia rankings from the Massey Ratings.

1. Grayson Rams (6-0)

The undefeated Rams have faced one of the state’s toughest schedules this fall, opening with games against two state-ranked opponents and two tough out-of-state foes. They passed each of those tests with flying colors, and did so again on Friday night in a 50-3 beatdown of Newton. The Rams led 36-3 at halftime, and junior quarterback Deuce Smith threw five touchdown passes to four different receivers.

2. Buford Wolves (5-0)

Facing an overmatched and winless Discovery squad, they coasted to a 71-7 blowout win last weekend before getting a well-deserved bye. Quarterback Dayton Raiola has been on point from the jump this season, and Buford will need him to be in a big matchup against rival Collins Hill this weekend.

3. Carrollton Trojans (6-0)

Carrollton ended Birmingham (Ala.) Parker‘s 14-game winning streak two weeks ago in a 43-7 rout of one the Yellowhammer State’s top programs. They were idle this week, but will return to action Friday night against Westlake as they look to move to 7-0.

4. Thomas County Central Yellow Jackets (6-0)

The Yellow Jackets showed very little rust after their bye week, winning 35-21 over a talented Lee County squad that sits just inside the top-25 still. TCC boasts one of the state’s premier defenses, allowing just 8 points per contest through its first six games.

5. Creekside Seminoles (6-0)

The Seminoles weren’t even ranked inside the preseason top-25, but are now one of just a handful of undefeated teams left after six weeks. Across their past three games, they’ve outscored opponents 195-0, including a 69-0 shutout of previously unbeaten Martin Luther King Jr. High.
