Ja'Marr Chase is hugely important to the success of the Cincinnati Bengals' offense, especially with Joe Burrow out, but he is off to a quiet start in Week 4 against the Denver Broncos.
Chase had a monster game in Week 2, but that performance is sandwiched in between two lackluster showings that have seen him tally seven catches for 76 yards.
If the first drive of the game is any indication, Chase might be in for a another disappointing game in Week 4.
Here's what's behind his slow start.
Is Ja'Marr Chase playing tonight?
Chase is active, healthy and in the lineup, and he was on the field and caught a pass on the first drive but was immediately taken down for no gain. He also saw another target later in the drive but it was a bad throw from Jake Browning.
The Broncos have a talented secondary and defense overall, so it won't come easy for Chase on Monday night. But if anyone can overcome that, it's one of the best wide receivers in the NFL.
