Despite the result on the field, Penn State presses on in recruiting
Penn State Offers 2028 Defensive Lineman
Five-star 2028 defensive lineman Azhir Waddell earned an offer from Penn State over the weekend:
Waddell is the No. 4 defensive lineman and the No. 25 overall recruit in the 2028 class. He has also visited NC State and Wake Forest within the last month.
Penn State Tabbed for Multiple Four-Star Recruits
Following the loss to Oregon, Steve Wiltfong added several predictions for Penn State:
Penn State hosted about 250 recruits for the White Out game. Perhaps a win may have had more of an impact, but this is still an attractive program for the nation’s top recruits.
Penn State Offers Three-Star Virginia Receiver
Penn State offered three-star 2026 receiver Josiah Teasley, who is currently committed to Virginia:
Teasley is one of several potential last-minute flips the Nittany Lions are targeting in the 2026 class. He committed to Virginia on June 16, though he has made two visits to Penn State since his commitment.
Penn State A Contender for Top 2027 Quarterback
No. 1 2027 quarterback Elijah Haven is a contender to commit to Penn State following his visit for the White Out:
It will be hard for the Nittany Lions to pry Haven away from the South. The Alabama native has offers from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Florida State, LSU, Auburn, and Ole Miss.
Maxwell Hiller in Attendance at White Out
Five-star 2027 offensive lineman Maxwell Hiller, one of Penn State’s top uncommitted targets for the 2027 class, was in attendance at the White Out game:
The Coatesville, Pennsylvania native is heavily favored to select Penn State, with the On3 prediction giving him almost a 90% chance to choose the Nittany Lions. He has visited Penn State 12 times during his recruitment, with the rest of the teams recruiting him combining for 16 visits.
