Conner and Dominguez were selected among athletes from Highland Park, Canyon, Perryton, River Road, Plainview, Muleshoe, Borger and West Plains.
Randall volleyball player Nevaeh Conner has been voted the Happy State Bank Girls High School Athlete of the Week for Sept. 22-28.
Conner racked up 31 digs, 18 kills and four aces while helping the Lady Raiders to a pair of wins last week.
The senior received 3,883 of the 9,331 votes cast for athlete of the week, which was 41.61% of total votes.
Canadian cross country runner Joseph Dominguez was voted the Happy State Bank Boys High School Athlete of the Week for Sept. 22-28.
Dominguez won the Class 3A race at the Lubbock Invitational cross country meet, finishing the 5K in 16 minutes, 30.3 seconds, to beat the second-place finisher by 26.9 seconds.
The junior received 2,573 of the 9,331 votes cast for athlete of the week, which was 27.57% of total votes.
Students in all varsity sports are eligible and can only be named Athlete of the Week one time per season, per sport, and athletes from one school cannot win more than three consecutive weeks.
Nominations are due by 5 p.m. each Saturday and can be submitted through email at [email protected].
