Robert Griffin III and his family were involved in a car crash on Friday. The former Heisman winner detailed what happened afterwards on social media. Thankfully, the entire Griffin family is okay.

Griffin shared pictures of the accident scene in Fort Worth, Texas. His family appeared to be in a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van when the accident happened.

"Just got in the worst car accident of our lives with my wife and kids in Fort Worth, Texas," RGIII wrote on X. "Scary crash, ricocheted off the highway divider multiple times, blown both front tires. Thankful to God that my wife and kids are safe."

Needless to say, this could've been much worse. Griffin was getting ready to call Saturday's TCU vs. Colorado game for FOX Sports. He was added to the network's coverage this year and has done outstanding over the past month. It's unclear if the incident will alter Griffin III's duties for the game.

Griffin returns to his home state for the Big 12 affair. The Baylor alum finished the 2011 season with 4,293 passing yards, 37 passing touchdowns, and six interceptions to go along with 179 rushes for 699 rushing yards and ten rushing touchdowns. He was the school's first Heisman winner and went on to a nine-year NFL career, earning Rookie of the Year honors in Washington.
