Daniels was back, and so was Washington.

The Washington Commanders saw the return of Jayden Daniels at SoFi Stadium, and he led his team to a 27-10 win over the Los Angeles Chargers.

Having missed the last two weeks with a knee sprain, Jayden was back on the field, and yeah, the Chargers got out to a 10-0 lead in the first quarter, but once Daniels got going, so did Washington.

The Commanders' defense kept Justin Herbert and Co. scoreless for the next three quarters while piling on 27 themselves as the Chargers were powerless to halt Kliff Kingsbury's unit.

Such was Washington's performance that CBS Sports' John Breech has given Dan Quinn's team an "A" grade.

“With Jayden Daniels back in the lineup after missing two weeks, the Commanders got off to a slow start, but once they got going, they were unstoppable,” Breech writes. “This was arguably Washington's most impressive win of the season and as long as Daniels stays healthy, this team is going to be a Super Bowl contender.”

Jacory Croskey-Merritt shines in Commanders win

Without Austin Ekeler, the rookie took over SoFi in devastating fashion behind Daniels.

Croskey-Merritt totaled 111 rushing yards and two touchdowns from 14 carries, while also having two receptions for 39 yards as he was a dynamite weapon for Daniels and Kingsbury.

The Commanders' run game was again a focal point as Croskey-Merritt, along with Daniels, combined for over 150 yards on the ground, with the Chargers unable to halt the momentum Washington had after the first quarter.

If, and that's a big if, Jayden can stay out of the treatment room, Washington will be going places in 2025.
