Davion Adkins, an elite power forward prospect in the 2026 class, has committed to Kansas, he told Rivals.

The 6-foot-8 four-star senior out of Prolific Prep (FL) chose the Jayhawks over Houston and Rutgers, but also received offers from Auburn, Indiana, UCLA, and others.

Adkins, a native of Dallas, Texas, is ranked as the No. 24 overall player in the nation, according to the Rivals’ Top-150 Rankings. He’s also the No. 4 power forward.

Adkins becomes Kansas’ fourth commitment in the last seven days, joining four-star PG Tay Kinney (No. 15 NATL), four-star SF Trent Perry (No. 102 NATL) and 2027 four-star SF Javon Bardwell (No. 18 NATL).

Adkins a standout at the NBPA Top-100 Camp

Rivals’ Jamie Shaw found Davion Adkins to be a standout at the Top-100 Camp this summer:

There might not have been a bigger presence at the front of the rim than Davion Adkins. The 6-foot-8 post player is a supreme rim protector, not only showing quick explosive burst, but also excellent timing.

Offensively, Adkins plays out of the dunker spot. He is a high-flyer, and while needing others to set up his opportunities, he takes a consolidated approach to creating his advantages. He will need to expand his shooting touch, become a threat from outside of five feet offensively, but the presence he brings on defense erases a lot of mistakes.

Adkins finished the week averaging 11.0 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.3 blocks per game while shooting 54.8 percent from the field.
