Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo has been reacting to fans comparing him with N’Golo Kante and Claude Makelele.

Caicedo scored a wonder goal against Liverpool on Saturday night and it has led to everyone saying his name once again in such deserved praise.

After the game, Jamie Redknapp was one of those who was full of praise for Caicedo and calling him world class, which he is in my opinion.

I think Caicedo has been super and so consistent in the last two seasons in a Chelsea shirt and I also think he is just getting better and better, if that is even possible.

And because he plays in the same position for Chelsea as legends such as N’Golo Kante and Claude Makelele, he is now being compared to them.

Caicedo on the comparisons

As cited by The Sun, Caicedo said:

“It’s so good that the fans love me, but I’m far from N’Golo Kanté or Makélélé for what they did at Chelsea. They achieved a lot.

“I’m going to keep working. I want to become a legend here.”

Caicedo says he wants to score more goals like the one against Liverpool and it is something he has been looking to add to his game more.

He said: “I want to score goals to help the team. It was a great goal, I told myself this season I had to score one from outside the box, and I did it!”

Consistency is key

The midfielder added: “It’s too early to say we’re going to win it. For sure, we want to win the Premier League.

“We will take it step by step because the Premier League is tough, but we are going to do our best.

“It’s so frustrating when a player gets injured, but we need to do it with the players we have. At the moment, we are doing well.

“When you beat big teams, it’s so important for us, for our confidence, and today we did that.

“We need to be consistent. We’ve shown our quality, we’ve shown our character on the pitch. Now we want to continue that.”
