Detroit Lions injury updates on Kalif Raymond, Terrion Arnold

Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold left Sunday's game with a shoulder injury for a second straight week.

CINCINNATI — Kalif Raymond got the worst of a big collision with Samaje Perine, but the Detroit Lions' Pro Bowl punt returner is believed to have avoided a serious injury.

"That doesn’t mean he’ll play next week," coach Dan Campbell said. "But it’s good news, in other words. I mean, as a matter of fact he told me, 'That didn’t feel too good, but I’m good.' That’s what he said."

Raymond was injured on a punt return with 3:31 left in the first quarter of the Lions' 37-24 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. He left the game immediately with what the team announced as a neck injury

Detroit Lions wide receiver Kalif Raymond (11) is checked on by teammates after taking a hard hit in on a kick return in the first quarter of the NFL Week 5 game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Detroit Lions at Paycor Stadium in downtown Cincinnati on Sunday, Oct. 5, 2025.

Isaac TeSlaa took Raymond's place as the Lions' No. 3 receiver and caught his second touchdown pass of the year, and Dominic Lovett finished the game returning punts.

Campbell said he's not sure about Raymond's availability for the next game against the Kansas City Chiefs (8:20 p.m. Oct. 12, NBC), or that of cornerback Terrion Arnold.

Arnold left the game for the second straight week with a shoulder injury and Rock Ya-Sin and Amik Robertson finished the game at cornerback for the Lions' shorthanded secondary.

The Lions placed starting cornerback D.J. Reed on injured reserve last week because of a hamstring strain and played Sunday without Khalil Dorsey (wrist). Ya-Sin also left the game in the second half but returned.
