Congratulations to Laura Blindkilde Brown, who’s been named Etihad Player of the Month for September.
The midfielder fought off the sizeable challenge of Yui Hasegawa and Kerstin Casparij to win her first monthly award, which saw 5,000 votes cast.
Blindkilde Brown has been enjoying some of her best football since the start of the 2025/26 campaign, starting each of our last five matches in all competitions.
Playing in a slightly deeper role alongside Hasegawa, the 22-year-old has taken on the responsibility with aplomb.

Having come off the bench for a lively cameo on the opening day against Chelsea, Laura went on to start each of our other four games across September, helping City to a hard-fought 2-1 win over Brighton in our first home match of the season.
She then took centre stage against Tottenham Hotspur the following week, putting in an outstanding individual display as the Blues ran out 5-1 winners.
That form continued against Everton in a 3-1 League Cup triumph, before Blindkilde Brown opened her account for the season in a win over London City Lionesses to round off September.

Picking up play from a deflected Alex Greenwood strike, Blindkilde Brown spotted a gap and fired into the bottom corner through a crowd of bodies to double our advantage at the Joie Stadium inside 14 minutes.
It was just rewards for her tireless performances in the City engine room of late, with the 22-year-old’s industry also releasing Hasegawa further forward.
