Confusion over Ronaldo’s availability

Goa CEO Ravi Puskur denied reports confirming the Portuguese star’s participation clarifying that the Saudi club has yet to make official decision.

He revealed that Al Nassr requested entry visas for their full squad (including Ronaldo) but stressed that this was "routine step" & "not proof" of the player’s inclusion.

Global brands ready for Ronaldo effect

Puskur admitted receiving "massive sponsorship offers" from international companies that pledged to sign major advertising deals if Ronaldo travels with the Saudi team.

He described the potential match as "the biggest event in Indian football history" should the Portuguese legend appear noting that such exposure could revolutionize the club’s finances & economy.

Rumors of financial offers denied

The Goa executive also dismissed reports that his club had offered Al Nassr financial incentive for Ronaldo’s attendance.

"We're small club, It’s neither appropriate nor realistic to pay for player’s presence. If Ronaldo wanted to buy our club, he could do it in 5 minute" he said.

Ronaldo’s legendary stats with Al Nassr

Since joining in Jan 2023, the 40 year old icon has scored 98 goal and provided 20 assist in 111 appearances across all competitions.

He won the Saudi Pro League Golden Boot in 2023 /24 with 35 goal (a record for single season) and remains Al Nassr’s undisputed leader.
