Who it’s for: Golfers who want a forgiving, high-launching, long-iron replacement with enhanced stability.

What you should know: The Exotics Max Hybrid features a multi-material construction that enables it to create a higher launch angle, providing more versatility and enhanced forgiveness off the tee, from the fairway and out of the rough.

The Deep Dive: Over the last two decades, hybrids have become an essential bridge between fairway woods and irons, especially for golfers who want a more confidence-inspiring alternative to long irons. In fact, the vast majority of iron sets made for club players don’t offer a 3-iron, and fewer and fewer sets these days come standard with a 4-iron.

Tour Edge has a long history of designing hybrids that thrive from any lie, and the new Exotics Max Hybrid carries that legacy forward with modern construction and technologies that mirror the rest of the 2026 Exotics metalwood lineup.

The Tour Edge Exotics Max hybrid has a carbon fiber crown to help lower the center of gravity location and encourage a higher ball flight.

The Max Hybrid features a carbon fiber crown construction that reduces weight at the top of the clubhead and redistributes it low and back. That positioning deepens the center of gravity, helping shots launch higher and land more softly, critical traits for a club often used on long approach shots.

The new Pyramid Face adds over 100 variable-thickness zones in a pyramid pattern to help retain ball speed across the face. Strikes low on the face or toward the heel and toe will lose less distance and height, making the Max Hybrid more consistent than its predecessors.

Previously-released Tour Edge metalwoods featured a reinforcing bag that extended from the topline to the back of the head, which the brand referred to as Ridgeback. The new Exotics Hybrid has a new system that Tour Edge refers to as 360° Ridgeback. It reinforces the perimeter of the head, allowing the face to flex more efficiently while maintaining structural stability. Golfers should notice a hotter feel at impact and higher ball speeds without sacrificing forgiveness.

Tungsten in the back of the sole increases the Tour Edge Exotics Max hybrid's forgiveness and stability

Tour Edge has strategically placed a tungsten sole weight in the back of the head to further lower and pull the CG location away from the hitting area, giving the Max Hybrid its characteristic high-launch flight and steady spin profile.

The clubhead itself is slightly larger than Tour Edge’s previous hybrids, which should give golfers confidence when they look down at it in the address position. The adjustable rear weight provides fitting options to tweak launch and spin, ensuring golfers can fine-tune the hybrid to slot seamlessly into their bag.
