2025 Baycurrent Classic tee times, TV coverage, viewer's guide

The PGA Tour will make the age-old trip from Mississippi to Japan this week with the Baycurrent Classic at the recently redesigned Yokohama Country Club. Formerly known as the Zozo Championship, this week’s Baycurrent will feature previous winners Collin Morikawa and Hideki Matsuyama, as well as Xander Schauffele teeing it up in a tour event for the first time since the BMW Championship in August.

Max Homa, Sahith Theegala, Chris Gotterup, Wyndham Clark, Sungjae Im, Michael Kim and Billy Horschel are all also in the 78-player, no-cut event this week. And they’ll be looking to stop Nico Echavarria’s attempt at becoming the first golfer to go back-to-back in the tournament.

The Takeo Aiyama-designed West Course at Yokohama Country Club opened in 1960 and was later remodeled by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw in 2015. The 2015 remodel focused on adding elevation to tees and fairways, as well as remodeling bunkers to make the existing natural undulations more dramatic. The course is known for wide fairways framed by dense clusters of pine trees, sprawling undulations, and classic Coore and Crenshaw bunkering.

Echavarria won last season with two birdies on his final three holes to edge out Max Greyserman and Justin Thomas by one shot. He also set the tournament's 72-hole record of 260, but that was at Accordia Golf Narashino. New course, new chance for a record.

This week's winner will receive 500 FedEx Cup points and a $1.44 million cut of the $8 million purse.

Golf Channel and the NBC Sports app will carry live coverage on Wednesday through Saturday from 11 p.m.-3 a.m.
