Barcelona is under investigation again.
Catalan police have reported to the Barcelona Court alleged financial irregularities at the club between 2018 and 2020, aimed—according to investigators—at lower tax rates.
The file also includes the transfer of Malcom, acquired from Bordeaux for €41 million in the summer of 2018.

Investigators are challenging the payment of €10 million to Business Futbol España (BFE) for alleged “non-existent or overestimated” intermediation services.

Among those under investigation are former president Josep Maria Bartomeu and other executives, accused of unfair management for decisions made without the consent of the Board of Directors.
To avoid sanctions, Joan Laporta’s administration has already initiated a preventive tax regularization, but the investigation remains open.
