Miami Dolphins’ Tua Tagovailoa has hip and thumb injuries

Tua Tagovailoa is injured. The Dolphins quarterback had an injured hip and an injured throwing thumb.

MIAMI GARDENS - Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has been added to the team’s injury report due to hip and left thumb injuries.

Tagovailoa was not on Miami’s injury report before the Week 5 Panthers game, so he was presumably banged up in that loss.

The Dolphins host the Chargers and Justin Herbert on Week 6.

It’s nearly a must-win with the Dolphins at 1-4.

Tagovailoa has a devastating hip injury that ended his college career.

Tua has a separate, unrelated hip injury that ended his 2024 Dolphins season.

Tagovailoa has played well in Miami’s last two games after a slow start to the season.
