Emanuel Emegha is expected to remain at Chelsea when he arrives from Strasbourg next summer according to reports.
Chelsea announced the signing of Emegha last month, with the 22-year-old signing a seven year contract at Stamford Bridge.
Emegha is set to join Chelsea in the summer of 2026, with the Blues said to believe he would benefit from staying at Strasbourg this season.
Emanuel Emegha to remain at Chelsea in 2026
Emegha is clearly the replacement for Nicolas Jackson, who is set to be sold next summer regardless of whether the obligation to buy is triggered by Bayern Munich.
The Blues are currently short at centre forward given Liam Delap isn’t expected to return to training until November.
Emegha has signed a seven year contract at Stamford Bridge.
Joao Pedro has looked isolated upfront in the last few games, whilst youngster Marc Guiu got his first minutes of the season against Liverpool.
There had been reports Chelsea could look to bring Emegha in January, but it’s unclear what their plan is for the striker next season.
However, Mail Sport have reported Emegha is set to remain at Chelsea next season and will add depth to Enzo Maresca’s attack.
The striker scored 14 Ligue 1 goals last season as Strasbourg qualified for the Conference League, and is captain of the side at just 22.
So far this season the Dutch under-21 international has four goals and two assists in six appearances in all competitions, with Strasbourg currently third in Ligue 1, just a point behind leaders PSG.
Marc Guiu future in doubt?
The arrival of Emegha casts further doubt over the future of Guiu, who joined Chelsea last summer from Barcelona.

The 19-year-old is currently competing with Joao Pedro and Delap, but once Emegha arrives it’s very hard to see him getting any minutes.
Given he was signed for just £5m, Chelsea are set to make a significant profit on Guiu, but unless he really impresses this season, it’s hard to see him being at the club beyond the end of the current campaign.
