The fourth edition of the UCI Gravel World Championships is set to take place in South Limburg, Netherlands, from Saturday.

The Dutch dominated the event last year, with Mathieu van der Poel  winning the men's elite race and Marianne Vos taking the women's crown. This edition of the world championships will see 123 women and 274 men compete for the title.

Tom Pidcock, making his Gravel World Championship debut, is the top contender to win the men's race this year, with Van der Poel not returning to defend his title. He will face stiff competition from two former winners, Gianni Vermeersch and Matej Mohoric.

In the women's category, Vos will once again be the favorite to retain her title; however, she will have to overcome the likes of Lotte Kopecky, Lorena Wiebes, and 2023 winner Kasia Niewiadoma.
