It's been a dream season so far for Point Loma, which is 6-0 with hardly any close calls.
After rolling to wins over La Jolla and San Diego, the Pointers now take a break from Eastern League play to face none other than Cathedral Catholic in a game that will almost certainly make or break their bid at an undefeated regular season.

Cathedral Catholic had its own undefeated hopes dashed last week in a crushing 35-14 loss at De La Salle in which 3-star QB Brady Palmer (Cal) and DB Noah Lauifi went down with potentially serious injuries and 5-star RB/DB Honor Fa'alave-Johnson played a bit hobbled. Even if all three were to miss the Dons' date with Point Loma, Cathedral would still be the heavy favorite, but Point Loma might just be good enough to make this a game. Cathedral Catholic will have to look out for ball-hawking DB Owen Ice, who had four of Point Loma's six interceptions last week against San Diego.
Regardless of who wins, Point Loma will be the overwhelming favorite to go on to sweep the Eastern League, whereas Cathedral Catholic probably needs this win in order to have much of a chance in two weeks against Lincoln.
