are off to a great start to the 2025/26 season as Thomas Frank has guided them to four wins from their first seven Premier League games.

Spurs are in third position in the points table only two points behind city rivals as their only defeat came against .

The new signings have settled to life at north London and are gradually making big impacts in their recent wins.

Record signing, Mohammed Kudus dropped a masterclass performance against guiding Tottenham to a 2-1 win where he scored the late winner while also providing an assist for the first goal.

While Tottenham have looked good, they have also struggled in patches especially against teams who maintain a low block.

Therefore, they could only manage a draw against Wolves, and Bodo/Glimt, matches they would be expected to win.

Therefore, Frank is planning another big transfer to improve Tottenham's attack and as per reports they have identified Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo as their primary target

However, they will have to smash the club transfer record to land the Ghanaian forward at north London as Bournemouth are reportedly not listening to any offers below £75m ($100m).

Recently, Tottenham confirmed that a majority shareholder, the Lewis family Trust has injected a total capital of £100m ($133.5m) to help the club and as per GiveMeSport's reports that money could be used to fund a transfer for Semenyo.

Why are Tottenham chasing Antoine Semenyo?

Semenyo has easily been the best player in the Premier League this season having scored six goals and provided three assists in the first seven league games.

To put things into perspective, the Ghanaian scored 11 goals last season in 37 league appearances last season. He has already reached six in the first seven games in this term.

The 25-year-old is an excellent ball progressor couple with his ability to use both feet and overall ball-striking prowess make him an extremely threatening player in the final third.

Semenyo is also extremely versatile though he prefers to play on the left flank, he can also slot in as a centre-forward or even play in number 10 role right behind the striker.

His explosiveness and versatility would be ideal for Tottenham as he slots right into the left flank in Frank's system and they will also benefit from his Ghanaian connection with Kudus, featuring on the right flank.

However, it won't be that easy for Spurs as plenty of clubs are interested in the 25-year-old which may ramp up the transfer fee much higher than just £75m.

It will be interesting to see how Spurs use the recent financial boost as they may also opt not to pursue Semenyo and rather fund a move for their former striker Harry Kane from Bayern Munich next summer.
