New York Jets vs. Denver Broncos: 3 key matchups to watch in Week 6

Here are 3 matchups to watch in Week 6 between the Jets and Broncos:

The New York Jets will face the Denver Broncos in Week 6 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.

For this AFC battle between Aaron Glenn's Jets (0-5) and Sean Payton's Broncos (3-2), it will be the games, within the game, that will make all the difference.

Here are Jets Wire's three key matchups to watch during the Jets' matchup with the Broncos:

WR Garrett Wilson vs. CB Patrick Surtain II

It's a low-hanging fruit but hard not to pick this one. It's a battle of heavyweights as both Wilson and Surtain are top players at their respective positions. In their 2024 matchup, Wilson caught five of eight targets for 41 yards.

RB Breece Hall vs. LB Alex Singleton

The Jets offense goes where the run game...a.k.a. Hall, takes them. Singleton leads the Broncos in tackles and will be a key player in slowing down Hall in the middle of Denver's defense. The most-important key for New York will be keeping their rushing attack relevant for more than just the first quarter.

DE Jermaine Johnson vs. OL Mike McGlinchey

Likewise to Wilson vs. Surtain, Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner and Broncos receiver Courtland Sutton will be a huge matchup. But in an effort to highlight the trenches, New York's entire defense could benefit from an improved pass rush. The Jets do have the likes of Quinnen Williams and Will McDonald, but one more threat like Johnson could free up a lot for those two... and impact the whole defense.
