Oregon Ducks' national title odds take a hit after disappointing Week 7 loss to Indiana

The Oregon Ducks suffered a 30-20 home loss to Indiana in Week 7; where does that leave them in terms of national title odds?

Coming into Week 7, it was clear that this weekend would have a major impact on the season outlook for the Oregon Ducks. Coming into Autzen Stadium was the Indiana Hoosiers, who, along with the Ducks, had a bye week to prepare for the top-10 matchup.

The outcome surprised many. The Hoosiers stormed into Eugene and came away with a decisive 30-20 victory, completely stymying an explosive Dante Moore-led Oregon offense in the second half. But it wasn't just the Hoosiers' defense, as quarterback Fernando Mendoza led an impressive game-leading drive in the fourth quarter.

The loss was the Ducks' first of the season, putting a damper on a promising start to the season.

But, as is the beauty of the 12-team College Football Playoff, the season is far from over. A one-loss Big Ten team is almost assuredly going to receive a spot. Two losses may even have a chance as well — though Oregon would hate to run that risk.

Let's take a look at how far the Ducks' national championship odds fell and who rose above them after Week 7.
