SIOUX CITY, IA (KCAU) – As teams get better and better, it gets harder and harder to choose every week. But let’s start with number 5!
5. Number 5 takes us to Briar Cliff, where Northwestern’s Colby Duncan connects with Tanner Schouten on a screen pass, and Schouten is gonna weave in and out of traffic, then turn on the thrusters, taking it 62 yards all the way to the house!
4. Number 4 lands us at Dakota Valley for a corner kick, and it’s Ella Chamberlain who gets the header to extend the Panthers’ lead to 2 helping them advance to the state title!
3. Number 3 takes us out to our game of the week Friday night, where on the first play of the game, Brayson Mulder finds a wide opening and proceeds to take the rock 80 yards to make it a 7-0 ball game only 11 seconds into the night.
2. Number two keeps us at MMCRU, where the royals would score the final touchdown of the game with some trickery. A nice little hook and ladder to Blake Barinsky who goes into the endzone untouched for the game winner.
1. Number one goes to Unity Christian volleyball. A light tap over the net was saved with one hand by Summer Schouten, then put back over by Addison De Boom; didn’t end up scoring, but great effort to keep the ball in play
Stay tuned for next week’s Top 5 Plays!
