Here is the stock report for the New York Jets following Sunday's 13-11 loss to the Denver Broncos to drop the team to 0-6 on the season.
The New York Jets (0-6) went into their game outside of the United States this season with the hope that they could notch their first win of the 2025 campaign. New York had been hoping for its first win under first-year head coach Aaron Glenn against Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos (4-2), but it looks like Jets fans will have to continue waiting for a victory.
The Jets lost to the Broncos in London on Sunday 13-11 and that was despite the fact that New York held Denver to just three points following the conclusion of the first quarter in which the Broncos scored 10 points. Part of the reason that the Jets weren't unable to capitalize on their defense holding down Denver for three quarters was the overall ineptitude of the offense.
New York gained just 82 yards of offense over the course of the game, showing that the offensive side is something that continues to hold back the franchise from winning games like the one against the Broncos on Sunday. With that being said, here is the stock report for the Jets following Sunday's loss to the Broncos that lives New York winless heading into Week 7:
Stock Up: Jets Defense
Despite the fact that the Jets were unable to leave London with a win, the defense came to play against one of the better offensive units in the league in the Broncos. New York held Denver to 5-of-15 on third down and just 4.3 yards per play, both numbers encompassing the fact that the Broncos scored just three points over the final 36 minutes of the contest.
Stock Down: Jets Offense
The Jets offense hit new lows in Sunday's loss to the Broncos as they literally couldn't the ball for the majority of the game as they were just 2-of-15 on third down and averaged just 1.4 yards per play. It wasn't for a lack of having the ball as New York just as many plays (57) as Denver did; the Jets were just awful on the offensive side of the ball and that is something that has to be cleaned up.
Stock Up: LB Jamien Sherwood
For the fourth time in the last five weeks, Sherwood piled up double-digit tackles after picking up another 13 tackles (6 solo) against the Broncos on Sunday. Sherwood also got after Bo Nix over the course of the contest in London as he picked up one quarterback hit and he made his impact in pass coverage with one pass deflected in what was a solid effort for the defensive unit.
Stock Down: QB Justin Fields
Fields had to face a ferocious Broncos pass rush for the entire game and while that could lean to him underperforming in certain categories, what he put forth on Sunday is nothing short of disappointing. Fields put up just 45 passing yards on 17 attempts and while he did rack up 31 rushing yards on seven carries, Fields has to be better if the Jets have any chance of winning any game.
Stock Up: Special Teams
One of the areas in which the Jets performed well against the Broncos is the special teams unit as that phase of the game allowed New York to remain in this contest and have a chance to win it in the end. Kicker Nick Folk was 3-for-3 on his field-goals and Kene Nwangwu generated some huge plays as part of the return unit that gave the offense some prime field position.
Stock Down: WR Garrett Wilson
While Wilson still remains one of the better wide receivers in the league, he did not play like that against the Broncos on Sunday as he racked up just 13 receiving yards on eight targets. It has already been mentioned that Fields did not play well along with the rest of the offense, but Wilson has to stand out above the rest given how important he is to the success of the unit.
