Chelsea defender Millie Bright has announced that she is retiring from international football.
Bright had previously withdrawn from the England squad just before the start of Euro 2025 which Sarina Wiegman's side would go on to win.
Now, the 32-year-old has decided to focus on her club career instead after having made her 300th appearance for Chelsea in the 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
Speaking on The Rest Is Football podcast, Bright said about her decision: "I've been weighing this up for a long time. It's one of those decisions no-one can make for you. It's a feeling and I'm at peace with it."
Bright earned her first cap back in 2016 and went on to play 88 times for England as well as in the Olympics for Great Britain in 2021.
The Chelsea captain was a part of the England team that won Euro 2022 and finished runners-up in the 2023 World Cup.
The Lionesses are back in action later this month with friendlies against Brazil and Australia to be played at the Etihad Stadium and Pride Park respectively.
