October 14, 2006, represents one of the most curious days in Chelsea's turbulent recent history.
Fans by then had become accustomed to seeing their captain, leader and legend John Terry starring for them as a rock at the centre of defence.
And he would continue to do so for many more years.

But those who remember the showdown against Reading on this day will recall how he had to fill in at a much more unfamiliar position.
Injuries to both starting goalkeeper Petr Čech and his replacement Carlo Cudicini resulted in Terry being forced to don the gloves (and third choice goalkeeper Hilario's jersey!).

And he boasts an unblemished record with no goals conceded from his brief spell between the posts too!
