Just days after leading the Las Vegas Aces to their third WNBA Championship in four years, star guard Jackie Young swapped her game-day gear for a Raising Cane’s uniform and joined the crew at the brand’s Las Vegas Strip flagship. Known to fans as the “Silent Assassin” for her calm precision under pressure, Young brought that same laser focus to the front counter, serving up smiles, Craveable Chicken Finger Meals, and a little bit of championship magic. The event, in which The Blast was present, marked a victory lap for the Aces and a celebration of community, teamwork, and late-night chicken runs. As Raising Cane’s fans lined up for a chance to meet the WNBA phenom, Jackie Young proved she’s just as quick with a headset as she is with a crossover.

Trading in the basketball court for the fryer line, Young dove right into her celebratory “shift,” joking with reporters, including The Blast, that she hoped they’d “let [her] put the headset on” so she could take some drive-thru orders herself. “Hopefully, they let me put the headset on,” she laughed. “I want to take some orders!”

The championship shift wasn’t just for show. Young genuinely got her hands dirty, working behind the counter, handing out orders, and sharing laughs and secret handshakes with fans. Her presence brought the energy of a locker room victory party straight into one of Las Vegas’ busiest restaurants. “It means a lot just to be here,” she said. “To be in a group of elite athletes and be able to interact with the fans that supported us all season. It’s super exciting.”

Sweet Tea, Extra Sauce, And Championship Spirit

When asked about her go-to Cane’s order, Young didn’t hesitate. “I usually get a Box Combo, sometimes a Caniac if I’m really hungry,” she said. “And obviously, extra Cane’s Sauce. I’m a big dipper, so I need like three sauces, and I always finish it off with a sweet tea.”

Her post-game cravings have long made Raising Cane’s her unofficial celebration spot. “Honestly, I eat Cane’s a lot,” she admitted. “After games, they stay open late, so it’s my late-night go-to.”

Jackie Young’s Winning Mindset

While fans know her for her quiet composure, Young’s mindset is anything but passive. The three-time WNBA Champion, All-Star, and Olympic Gold Medalist spoke about her laser-focused approach to success. “I put in a lot of work," she said. "In the gym, off-season, during the season, just to get my body and mind right,” she said. “I think it’s about wanting to achieve greatness.”

She also credits her humble beginnings for fueling her fire, saying, “It was hard growing up, but I always told my family I wanted to be a WNBA player. I wanted to help my family so we could make it out.” It’s that drive, along with her consistency and leadership, that has made Young one of the cornerstones of the Aces dynasty and a role model for the next generation of athletes.

During her shift, Young FaceTimed Raising Cane’s Founder and CEO Todd Graves, who personally congratulated her on another historic championship run.

“It was great having Jackie out to our Las Vegas Flagship today to celebrate the Aces’ third WNBA Championship title,” Graves said. “They had a challenging season but persevered, and it was incredible watching their journey. I’ve loved seeing the WNBA gain traction, and I’m excited to see that support continue to grow.”

With Las Vegas still reeling from the championship win, Young’s Raising Cane’s appearance felt like the perfect hometown victory lap. Fans lined up for photos, autographs, and a chance to be served by the WNBA superstar herself. “It’s been cool to just spend time with my teammates and celebrate,” she said. “Usually, we’re always working, but now it’s fun to relax, connect with the fans, and just take it all in.”

Now, with three championship rings, an Olympic Gold Medal, and a city behind her, Jackie Young’s legacy stretches far beyond the court and straight into the heart of Las Vegas. Whether she’s dropping dimes or dipping fingers, she’s always serving up wins.
