With the regular season winding down, several players from Tennessee are doing their best to will their teams into the postseason.

There are some players who helped their teams stay perfect in the home stretch of the regular season along with others who were part of epic victories.

Here, now, is a look at the top performers from Week 8. Also, readers can now vote on who they think should be the Tennessee Player of the Week.

Andre Adams, Antioch

Adams, a junior quarterback, completed 22-of-28 passes for 401 yards and six TDs and added 137 yards rushing on 15 carries and three more scores as the Bears moved to 8-0 after a wild 64-62 win against Franklin Road Academy.

Jace Ballard, Knoxville Grace Christian

The senior had a hand in the Rams’ 33-31 win at defending state champion Sevier County, which snapped the Smoky Bears’ 21-game winning streak. Ballard caught 10 passes for 131 yards, rushed for 56 yards on 13 carries and two TDs and threw a pass covering 42 yards.

Cole Brown, McKenzie

A junior quarterback, Brown completed 19-of-23 passes for 316 yards and three TDs and also had three rushing TDs in his team’s 49-6 win against Bruceton.

Josiah Claybrooks, Kirkwood

Claybrooks, a senior running back, rushed for 154 yards on 21 carries with three TDs and added a 34-yard reception in the Cobras’ 35-14 win against Creek Wood.

Luke Di Pietro, Dresden

Di Pietro, a senior running back, rushed for 141 yards on 17 carries and scored three TDs in a 42-14 win against Greenfield.

Tot Gardner, Marshall County

Gardner rushed for 146 yards on 11 carries and scored three TDs in his team’s 50-0 win against Montgomery Central.

Eli Garrett, Cannon County

Garrett threw for 397 yards and five TDs on 16-of-20 passing as Cannon County got past Jackson County, 42-14.

David Green, Boyd Buchanan

A senior, Green rushed for a season-high 223 yards and three TDs in the Buccaneers’ 49-28 win against Silverdale Baptist Academy.

Ka’devon Gross, Lake County

A senior running back/linebacker, Gross finished with 113 yards rushing on 21 carries and three TDs as the Falcons edged South Fulton, 22-20. On defense, Gross had a team-high 13 tackles and two tackles for loss.

Walker Hobbs, Cheatham County Central

Hobbs carried the ball 24 times and produced 189 yards and three TDs in the Cubs’ 42-34 win against Hunters Lane.

Tyreke Hutch, Huntingdon

Hutch, a senior tailback, tallied 169 yards on the ground and scored four TDs in his team’s 59-6 win against Harpeth.

Donteze Joy, Westview

Joy, a senior receiver, caught three passes for 236 yards with a TD and also had two two-point conversions in the Chargers’ 58-6 win against Bolivar Central.

Brayden Maples, Gatlinburg-Pittman

Maples rushed for 83 yards on 13 carries and two TDs and also caught a 28-yard pass for another score in his team’s 42-0 win against Austin-East.

Quincy Mitchell, Forrest

A sophomore tailback, Mitchell rushed for 329 yards on 25 carries and scored four TDs and also caught a TD pass as the Rockets downed Cascade, 50-20.

Kelvin Perkins, Memphis Southwind

Perkins had 163 yards rushing on 13 carries and four TDs in a 42-21 win against Whitehaven. In addition, he passed for 91 yards and two more scores.

Raderius Robertson, Germantown Houston

Robertson rushed for 123 yards and three TDs on 13 carries and also had 60 yards receiving with a TD in a 41-14 win against Arlington.

Jawell Rodgers, Memphis Lausanne Collegiate School

Rodgers caught seven passes for 256 yards and had four TDs as Lausanne posted a 49-35 win against Collierville.

TJ Ward, Nashville Christian

Ward, a senior, rushed for 125 yards on 20 carries and scored three TDs while catching five passes for 71 yards as the Eagles improved to 7-0 after outlasting Tyner Academy, 49-42.

Jamarcus Watkins, Clarksville

Watkins, a senior tailback, rushed for 113 yards on 10 carries and scored two TDs and also had five tackles with three pass deflections on defense in the Wildcats’ 28-19 win against Shelbyville Central.

DK Woods, Crockett County

Woods, a junior tailback, rushed for 210 yards on 20 carries and scored four TDs in his team’s 42-28 win against Dyersburg.
