The Kansas City Chiefs' offense has seen an uptick in performance over the past couple of weeks, and now the unit is getting its best receiver back in Rashee Rice.
At 3-3, the Chiefs, after an up-and-down start to the season, have found some consistency in their game on both sides of the ball and now appear ready to go on a run that will put them firmly in the Super Bowl conversation.
And yes, Rice's return has huge implications for that.
For head coach Andy Reid, he's detailed exactly what having Rice back on the field will do for the offense.
“He's unique because of his size and ability after the catch to play physical,” Reid said. “So, you got some speed guys, and smaller guys, then he and Juju [Smith-Schuster] are similar body types and game types of the way they play their game. But he gives you flexibility, and the guys feed off of that. So, it's a win-win either way to add him into the mix.”

Chiefs face crucial three weeks in playoff chase
It might seem odd to say the Chiefs play crucial games in October, but with the Las Vegas Raiders, the Washington Commanders, and then the Buffalo Bills before their bye week, there is a chance to really set themselves up for a serious tilt at the playoffs and then the Super Bowl.
Given that Kansas City now appears to have its game in order on both sides of the ball, it is looming large yet again in the AFC, and while the franchise was wobbly to begin with, it now has a chance to put the entire league on notice.
Go 3-0 during that stretch to be 6-3, after the 0-2 start, yeah, that will send shivers down the spine of the NFL. Yes, there's a lot of water to go under the bridge here, but with Rashee returning, the offense is getting stronger, and right now, Kansas City appears as equipped as any team to win the Super Bowl.
