Joe Flacco completed 31 of his 47 attempts for 342 passing yards with three touchdowns in the Bengals' thrilling 33-31 win.
As Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco and receiver Ja'Marr Chase were interviewed by Amazon Prime Video after a 33-31 win against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday Night Football, Bengals' fans were thanking the Browns for delivering Flacco.
Flacco completed 31 of his 47 attempts for 342 passing yards with three touchdowns in the Bengals' thrilling, come-from-behind victory against their AFC North rival.
"It was a lot of fun," Flacco said after the game. "You hope you can just kinda ride into the sunset and win this like 37-24 but -. … I'm guessing Mom let (the kids) stay up for this one. … This game is so great. … I think it's all about your mind and telling yourself that like this is one of the best things in the world. So just stay excited about what you're doing and … you can do it as long as you want."
"It's fun having him man," Chase said. "It's honestly been amazing. I can never tell a quarterback no at the end of the day."
"We were just laughing at how absurd (the Bengals' receivers) are," Flacco added. "They caught a couple balls that (left us shaking our heads). We were sitting there just laughing hysterically about how good they are."
Earlier in the week, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said he was perplexed by the Cleveland Browns' trade of Flacco to Cincinnati.
"To be honest, it was shocking to me," Tomlin said. "(Cleveland general manager) Andrew Berry must be a lot smarter than me or us, because it doesn't make sense to me to trade a quarterback that you think enough of to make your opening-day starter to a division opponent that's hurting in that area. But that's just my personal feelings."
Tomlin's remarks were mentioned several times through Amazon Prime Video's broadcast of the game.
