The Philadelphia Eagles ended their brief two-game losing streak in a 28-22 win over the Minnesota Vikings. In the process, their offense got back on track.
DeVonta Smith caught nine passes for 183 yards and a touchdown, and A.J. Brown caught a pair of scores on four catches. Additionally, Jalen Hurts had a perfect passer rating, going 19-of-23 for 326 yards and three scores.
By throwing for 300 yards, Hurts ended a skid that goes back to Week 3 of last season, as that was the last time he eclipsed the 300-yard mark. The 2024 Week 3 contest came in a 15-12 win over the New Orleans Saints.
The Eagles entered the game ranked in the bottom half of the league in EPA per play on both sides of the ball. After their offensive showing, that number is sure to grow, and could be used as the launch point for their passing game to be consistently great.
