Saudi Arabia ready to do ‘whatever it can’ to bring Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah to the Pro League

Mohamed Salah’s Liverpool future has been a source of intense speculation following his explosive interview.

The 33-year-old accused the club of throwing him under the bus and said his relationship with manager Arne Slot has collapsed.

Slot dropped Salah from the squad for Tuesday’s Champions League game against Inter Milan, which the Reds won 1-0 following Dominik Szoboszlai’s late penalty goal

Liverpool still want to keep the Egyptian star at Anfield, but that scenario is looking unlikely at the moment.

The Gulf News report that Saudi Arabia is prepared to do ‘whatever it can’ to bring Salah to the Middle East in the winter transfer window.

Saudi authorities are closely monitoring the player’s situation and seeking a move either on loan or through a permanent transfer.

There is competition within the Pro League to sign the experienced forward.

The Public Investment Fund (PIF) affiliated club Al-Hilal are keen on him, while Al Qadsiah (linked to state-owned energy giant Aramco) have also been credited with an interest.

Salah has been integral to Liverpool’s recent success. He has bagged 250 goals and 116 assists in 420 senior appearances, helping his team win two Premier League titles and a Champions League.

The Egypt international scored 34 goals in 52 games last season, helping the Merseyside giants lift the Premier League trophy.

But he hasn’t been his usual self this campaign, netting just four times in 13 league appearances.
