Sherrone Moore is out at Michigan after two seasons. Who has been the head coach of the Wolverines since 1969?

Stunning news out of the college football world on Wednesday. The University of Michigan fired head coach Sherrone Moore, citing an inappropriate relationship with a staff member. The Wolverines were 9-3 in the Big Ten in 2025 and headed to the Cheetos Bowl against the Texas Longhorns. The school said: "This conduct constitutes a clear violation of University policy, and U-M maintains zero tolerance for such behavior," athletic director Warde Manuel said in a statement Wednesday. Biff Poggi was named interim coach. This is a big job so, no doubt a lot of names will covet it.
